Guitarmageddon 2004 Update April 27th 2004. Greg Noll places 2nd in the Northern California finals of the 2004 Guitarmageddon contest! It's true boys and girls. After winning the preliminary and final rounds in Modesto, our boy went on to the district finals in Concord on April 27th. A very large Tuolumne County/Crazy Ivan/Greg Noll fan club showed up and cheered him on. A huge heart-felt thanks to all those who showed up on a Tuesday night in Concord for Greg. He didn't win but had a great time. ![]() That's his "I'm Ready to Rock" face. He was accompanied by Chris Beauchene. Chris is our official roadie/guitar tech/security person. He's real good at lifting stuff too, but not to clever with camper shell doors (another story!). This is Greg and Chris at Concord Guitar Center. ![]() Greg is not bummed out about the results. "I came in second and I'm definitely going to try it aging next year," he said. "One of the judges was Brad Gillis from Night Ranger and he told me he really like what I did." And this is Greg and Mr. Gillis. ![]() Well kids the Shredfest is over for Greg for this year but it's only made him want to rock harder so PLEASE come out and party with Crazy Ivan at your next opportunity. We would love to see ya'll. And once again congratulations to our own Heavy Metal Hamster, Greg Noll. Guitarmageddon Guitarmageddon, the largest, most respected guitar competition in the country, provides guitarists the opportunity to showcase their talent, compete for thousands of dollars in prizes, and the chance to be recognized as one of the world’s finest. Competition starts in all Guitar Center locations on March 16th. Welll Allll Riightttyyy then. That's Guitar Center's official blurb. Our stellar guitarist, one Mr. Greg Noll, is competing in the Guitarmageddon guitar player contest sponsored by Guitar Center. And he's winning!!! He has won two rounds at Guitar Center of Modesto. He now moves on to the district competition in Concord on April 27th. Where he will no doubt once again crank out another face melting guitar performance extravaganza. Any Crazy Ivan fans that can make it to Concord on that day to show their support would be greatly appreciated. Wait! I know! We should rent a bus and paint it like a submarine. No, not a yellow one. A big black one with a red star on the side!! AND all pile in and... OK I'm back. But really we love him and wish him the very best of luck and ROOCCKK DUDE!!!!! |
