The New Course Heading

Well the progress of the addition of our new bass player continues on a solid course. Mike is dedicated to learning our existing setlist and has great ideas for new songs. He also is pitching in for some administrative and booking duties and Greg and I really appreciate that. Our first show with Mike is coming right up and we are looking forward to getting the first one under our belts. We will send an announcement for the show and hope to see all our fans there.
The New Ivan

As of January 1st Greg and I found ourselves in need of a bass player. Bob decided to follow other interests and we wish him all the best. That's the bad news, Bob is no longer in Crazy Ivan. The good news is that this time we have several bass players who have expressed interest in working with us. High on the list of potential replacements was a guy Greg has worked with in the past, Mike Gonzales. Some of you may know of Mike from his days with Taboo. Needless to say he is a very good player and is motivated to be in Crazy Ivan. We have already had one rehearsal with him and have made good progress in learning the songs we want to keep and brainstorming many new ones. So I'll try and keep you all posted as we move along but the future for Ivan looks mighty good from where I sit.

After 25 yrs (OK maybe not that long but a really long time) and many requests for some sanity, Crazy Ivan has a new website thanks to HostBaby. Musicians if you are not hip to CDBaby and all of the great things Derek Sivers does for indy musicians you gotta check them out. The rest of you wonderful people check this site out and give us your feedback. More news as it's fit to print!
